of the VW Beetle and an evolution of the WWII Kubelwagen; a VW
thing is everything good about a Beetle with the go-anywhere
ability of a Jeep. This 1971 thing was imported directly from
Europe and is claimed to be an ex-military vehicle. the yellow
paint is a stark rebuttal to it's military service, but it wears
the color well. Powered by a 1600cc flat four with a four-speed
manual, it runs and drives better than a 50-year-old VW should.
There little to mention accessory wise besides black vinyl seats,
wipers, and snap on windows and a soft top. The roof is in good
shape and has no tears or rips. There's no signs of rust or
accidents. This 1971 VW Thing is ready to cruise around the beach
