Vehicle Description
1967 Ford Mustang Black GT 390 S-Code
Why This Vehicle is Special
How rare is it to find a restored 1967 Mustang GT Fastback S-Code
390 cubic inch engine that is real rare. But we have one here at
Skyway Classics. It is a restored GT verified by the VIN number to
be an original S-Code 390 engine, VIN number 7F02S160258 and
verified by the Marti Report we have, see pic.
Most of you are familiar with the famous 1968 Bullitt Mustang
driven by Steve McQueen in the movie of the same name. This 1967
car we have would be a close match to the configuration of that
Bullitt Mustang as it came from the factory as a 63A Fastback, has
the S-Code 390 cubic inch engine, 5 Code 4-speed transmission, I
Code Lime Gold exterior (now repainted black with white stripes),
and a 2A Code Black Crinkle Vinyl interior.

Mechanical
Under the hood is the engine that was the big news for 1967, the
optional 390 cubic inch V-8 engine. The 390 offered brutal
acceleration and thrust the little pony car absolutely into the
muscle car realm, largely creating a whole new animal.
Ours is the S-Code 390 cubic inch engine and looks meticulous in
its clean, detailed, and painted engine compartment and that engine
retains the look of factory stock with the 4-barrel carb, aluminum
intake, chrome air cleaner assembly with the 390 decal, polished
aluminum finned valve covers, as well as the 5 Code 4-speed
transmission.
It has blue performance spark plug wires, aluminum radio, modified
electronics, original windshield washer bag, and an Optima battery.
It delivers great acceleration and is shifted thru the floor
mounted shifter and this Mustang looks fast and is fast too!
Interior
The black 2A Code Black Crinkle Vinyl interior has twin bucket
seats and looks stunning with its black carpeting, matching door
panels as well as the back seat. It has a wood three-spoke billet
sport steering wheel, full factory gauges, center console,
accessory gauges, tach, black floor mats, and a great radio system
too.
Again, everything looks in like new condition and just has to be
seen in person.
Exterior
Our 1967 Mustang has been refinished a great shiny black paint
scheme with white stripes as the black paint flows over the scooped
hood, factory side scoops, and great fenders, as well as the
Mustang emblems, bright metal rocker panel moldings, trim, white
side racing stripes and top stripes, and the iconic rear gas tank
cap.
The stance looks right with the 5-spoke chrome and raised white
letter Cooper Cobra Radial GT performance tires as the Fastback
presents exquisitely well and is ready for whatever style of
cruising its new owners might choose.
These 1967 Mustang Fastbacks boasted a muscular style with a unique
touch of exoticism. The Fastback became sharper edged with the
trunk deck disappearing into the raking roofline.
Conclusion
The 1967 Mustang GT Fastback S-Code with the 390 cubic inch engine
in it that we have at Skyway Classics has been restored and
upgraded and this has to be one of the nicest ones for sale
anywhere in the U.S.
No wonder Steve McQueen drove one in the iconic Bullitt movie and
now you can drive a similar one too.
Come drive it today.
