Absolute Elegance on wheels. These Jaguar XJ models were built for
over twenty years from 1975-1996 in three different generations
which were basically some facelifts and cosmetic changes to the
same style of body. There were a few different engine options
available however all of them were either straight 6 cylinder or
V-12's and by the end of the run, the V-12's put out a very
respectful 305 HP. There were some aftermarket British companies
that did some body kits. Also. a lot of people do not know that
Jaguar in the 1970's had a very successful race program with the XJ
cars. Now on to the important things....This car is an absolute
must have for a collector as it is probably the nicest XJS cars I
have ever personally seen. It comes out of a collection and long
term ownership over twenty five years. It has covered just over
18,000 miles since new and is pretty much flawless in every way.
The car just went through some freshening after it came out of
storage with some fluids, electrical checks, brakes, gauges etc...
There is not a warning light for anything on the dash, the car
starts perfectly, idles perfectly, smokes and leaks nothing and is
100% ready to go with the exception of probably needing tires at
some point due to age. Everything works as it should including
convertible top that is in great shape and climate control. This is
a very prime example.
