I acquired this car from a family member in 2011, and it has been garage kept since then. The car has no mechanical issues and drives well. However, a few things could be upgraded or fixed, such as small chips on the front passenger fender and small bubble spots on the driver-side T-top paint. The T-tops weatherstrips could also be replaced, although they currently do not leak. The car is equipped with AC, but it has never worked, and I have not bothered to fix it since driving with the tops off is more fun. I suspect it needs a new compressor. Lastly, I only have a registration since Connecticut does not require a title for registration with cars over 20 years old. Now, I have been questioned about the mileage. I have searched multiple websites affiliated with NMVTIS and others to do a VIN search and requested all records from the state of CT. Neither of these two efforts yielded any meaningful results. I will say that, to my knowledge, these are original miles, and tampering with the odometer is a felony. Remember that this car is almost 50 years old and not in showroom condition, but with time and money, it could be restored to that level. If you are looking for a fun driver, this is a good candidate. Several inquiries asked if the car can be driven over some distance (1000+ miles). Yes, I believe it can be as it is reliable, but it is an older car. I am selling it because I have a young family and I do not get to use the car. Whenever I must register, insure, or maintain the car, I hear it from my wife. I wish I had more time to enjoy it, but at this stage in life, I don’t.
