Ever since its debut in 1964, the Ford Mustang has been one of the most popular and iconic sports cars on the market. In its first full production year (1965) Ford sold over 550,000 Mustangs making it a huge success for the company. In 1984, Ford wanted to commemorate the debut of their most popular sports car by offering the 20th Anniversary package for the Mustang GT.
