For real, $70,000 was recently spent on a professional frame off
restoration! Same owner the last 36 years. It looks and functions
like new or better.
EXTERIOR: The fit and finish is better than GM had done in 1971!
This was restored by a professional shop. There is no rust or
damage at all. Every inch is laser straight, all the panels fit
square and flush. The Cranberry Red paint is polished like glass.
All of the exterior chrome and trim was replaced or restored. It
has a new white convertible power top. The weather strips and
window seals were replaced. The windshield is new. A shiny set of
Cragar wheels and BFG tires give it some extra sizzle.
INTERIOR: It is like sitting in a new 1971 Chevelle. In front of
you is a dash with clean gauges, lenses, knobs, heater controls and
dash pad. A retro stereo fits right in the factory hole. The
carpet, upholstery, door panels, armrests have been replaced. It
has a complete set of original seat belts. Everything works.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: New crate 350 motor with an Edelbrock intake
and carb, upgraded HEI ignition. Stock valve covers, exhaust
manifolds and air cleaner. It even has the heat riser tube and
lower spark plug shields. All the components were replaced like
fuel pump, alternator, wiper motor, cadmium plated power brake
booster. The squirters are hooked up. Upgraded aluminum radiator
with the factory shroud. All the metal surfaces are painted, it is
a detailed show quality engine compartment!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is immaculate in here too! Under the trunk
lid and the jamb are painted slick red. Inside is perfectly clean
metal with a neat spatter finish. It also has reproduction mat,
weatherstrip and well liner. Complete jack and spare assembly.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame, every component underneath
the car was restored. The front suspension and steering was
rebuilt, new steering box. Delco gas shocks all around. Rebuilt
rear suspension, upgraded boxed control arms. The brake system has
serviced: new lines, hoses and e-brake assembly. New factory type
dual exhaust system. Looking up at the motor it is spotless Chevy
Orange, new starter and flywheel cover. The Turbo 350 automatic
trans is clean and shifts smooth. The metal under this car is
pristine: the floors, braces, rockers are smooth clean metal
painted satin black.
SERVICE: We inspected this car and all we had to do was calibrate
the speedometer.
You're not even paying for the entire restoration, the Chevelle
convertible is free! Not to mention it's done and ready to go, you
don't have to wait two years. If you think you would enjoy a good
looking Chevelle convertible that you can just get in and cruise or
go to car shows and win this is a car you should buy! It's
comfortable, easy to maintain and easy to sell when your done.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
