Vehicle Description
This 1990 GMC Jimmy 4x4 is an instant classic that has no full-size
equal on today's market. And because this is one of the final years
of its generation, it comes with great modern features like fuel
injection and an overdrive transmission. Plus, as you look over the
full package, you're going to see a well-respected (possibly
one-owner) classic that has all the best amenities, including
cold-blowing A/C.
The squared-off bodywork and tall stance are the definition of
outdoor elegance on the big GMCs. Given the capabilities of these
trucks, this certainly could have lived most of its life off-road,
but the way the panels look tells a far different story. The
background shows only one private owner, and while the odometer is
believed to show the full mileage, the overall condition would lead
you to believe it has traveled far less. The clean red paint was
given a respray later in life. It has a nice gloss that looks good
against the chrome bumpers and bright factory alloys. And we like
the details, like the deeply tinted windows and the unique front
end that was only part of these later years. And the bright white
removable hardtop looks great against the red paint - almost like a
Coca-Cola bottle.
The red interior looks attractive because it has a well-kept and
plush style. And as you look through the full package, you're going
to discover a well-done loaded GMC. You get high-back front bucket
seats with a center console in-between. This has handy features
like a tilt steering column, power windows, power mirrors, power
locks, a power rear window, cruise control, and cold-blowing R134a
air conditioning. That last one is especially nice if you do choose
to have a complete open rear section for a very cool convertible
pickup/SUV. But the heart of the appeal also has to do with a
full-size machine that has a useful back seat and plenty of cargo
space for road trips and tailgating.
Under the hood is the hardy 5.7-liter V8 with desirable factory
fuel injection. Plus, the electronic locking front hubs and
two-speed transfer case remind you that it's a true off-road
machine. But as much as this all sounds like a great way to drive
through the dirt, the power steering, power brakes, front discs,
and a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive make
this a pleasant 4x4 for all occasions. You even have a newer set
(2022) of Michelin tires.
This was the final year of this generation, and so it was one of
the few times you had the desirable removable rear roof combined
with practical features like a fuel-injected V8. That's what makes
this Jimmy 4x4 irresistible. Call today!!!
