If you are familiar with these awesome Speedster replicas you know how popular they have been and how long the wait time is on a brand new build. This 356 Replica was built in 2013 by the original Vintage Speedsters company when they were in CA. It had the same owner from new up until a few months ago and spent almost its entire life in sunny California. The was was very well maintained and upgraded by the original owner and I have a folder of receipts. He thoroughly enjoyed driving it putting just over 30,000 miles on it during his ownership. Painted in a beautiful Ivory color that was an original 356 color the paint and body still look great. All of the chrome and stainless trim looks great and this one has dual side view mirror mounted on the fenders. It also has the headlight grilles, rear reflectors, and a brand new set of fog lights. Body panel fit is excellent and doors open and shut beautifully. You would be amazed at how authentic and solid these cars are and only the true Porsche afficionados can spot it as a replica. I always recommend driving these top down as much as possible but nice to know it has a very nice tan convertible top in with window inserts. You also have 2 options when top is down as it comes with both the boot cover and a full tonneau cover. Some minor stains on the boot and tonneau. Overall the body looks great with just a few minor paint imperfections/chips from being driven and enjoyed. This Speedster will get all the looks and will be welcome at the local shows and cruise ins and take home trophies if that is what you enjoy.
Complimenting the Ivory exterior is a beautiful Buck colored interior that looks great. Seats are the thicker, more cushioned style that Vintage Speedster offered and are in great condition. Door panels and dash are trimmed to match. A nice Kenwood Bluetooth stereo system was added and has speakers in the door panels and a sub woofer mounted under the dash. This car does have functional heat operated with the knob on the center tunnel the which brings in hot air through the vents in the kick panel area. Beautiful Woodgrain Nardi style steering wheel with Porsche emblem horn button. Tan carpeting is in nice condition and shows some wear by the drivers side foot well. A fire extinguisher is mounted between the seats and racing style seat belts for driver and passenger are installed. A Viper alarm was added and still works and remote is included. Super comfortable, extremely nice interior!!!
The 1915 cc dual carb. motor runs awesome!! Original owner never hesitated to drive this Speedster putting 30,000 miles on it in his 13 years of ownership. He made sure anything needed was taken care of as shown in the receipts that will be included. The motor was resealed and well maintained. It received a newer set of Weber Carbs and I would estimate the horsepower at 110-120hp. Smooth shifting 4-speed has the Freeway flyer 3.88 gearing making it easy to cruise at highway speeds. Nicely upgraded to 4 wheel disc brakes stop this Speedster with ease. Nice set of Gray 5 lug wheels wearing Porsche emblem hub caps and wrapped in nice set of Pirelli tires. Front stabilizer and rear camber compensator make handling very nimble. Undercarriage looks great and this has always been a California car prior to me bringing it to Georgia. Since it was titled in California previously it will be no problem bringing it back to CA if that is where you are from. It is Titled as a 1963 VW which is the pan it was built on. Insuring these 356 replicas is inexpensive and easy and the classic car insurance companies recognize the values. This Speedster really performs nicely and can be driven and enjoyed by its next lucky owner.
