Vehicle Description
1960 Ford F100 Pickup- 292 CID V8 4 speed Red/White- Cruise &
Casual Show
This is a real find for those of us who appreciate an "original",
essentially "unrestored" pickup truck. Yes, of course it's been
repainted (Code matching "Monte Carlo" Red and White) and the "wide
white walls" were just a nice touch to draw attention, it looks
sweet. The mechanical condition is stated by our seller to be
"ready for the road trips" if you wish. Our seller has used it for
casual shows, cruisin' and any opportunity to simply get on the
road for a nostalgic ride. The odometer reads 17,726 as I write
this, and of course, 117,726 is reasonable if you look under the
hood (check out how original it looks- not prepped or detailed at
all), through the interior and just general wear of sixty four
years! As you can see in the decoding of the VIN, it was originally
built at the San Jose, California plant. This '60 F100 lived the
salt free California life style before its current life here in
Michigan where our short and sweet Spring and Summer driving season
is also safe from salt and snow. It's believed that the combination
of the 292 CID V8 combined with the "4 on the floor" manual shift
is quite rare to find... and it's really fun to drive. It's your
choice moving forward with this one, leave it "as original" or
modify with A/C and other modern upgrades... It has "good bones"
either way!
