Vehicle Description
This 1977 Dodge Aspen is an amazing find. It's a full-blue package
with a survivor-grade style. And it's impressively loaded with
features like a power seat and a V8 under the hood. It even has an
interesting tale to go along with all its stock style!
Part of this car's previous history that we read includes a tale of
this being parked for about 40 years, and that the low odometer may
even represent the full mileage (it's all intriguing but
unverified.) So where most wagons of this era would have been
subjected to over 30 years of the family appliance, this one has
survived and thrived. And the Regatta Blue paint supports this
feeling where it has aged and matured but it still looks quite
clean and complete. So it shows all the right signs of being the
factory application that is rapidly approaching its half-century
anniversary. The chrome bumpers are bright, the trim is complete,
the luggage rack looks good, the glass is clear, and the factory
hubcaps are all present. We just don't see cars like this
anymore.
The sea of blue continues inside, and so does the impressive level
of preservation. The driver's seat has a clean and complete style
like a 1970s time capsule. A tilt wheel and a fold-down armrest
make sure this wagon knows how to get long-haul comfortable. This
even has a premium front power seat! And the wood-like trim really
makes this feel like it earns the classic-style Special Edition
badging. Part of this preservation means the right vintage details,
like the working interior lights (including the glovebox) and the
factory AM/FM radio is still there for a display. This even appears
to be a factory A/C wagon (a newer compressor was installed but the
system will need servicing.) The back seat is cushy, and it can be
folded flat for utility. So it's perfect for loading up with
supplies and spending the day showing it off at the car show. You
could probably even rent this time capsule out to movie
productions.
Under the hood is the correct 318 cubic-inch V8. It's a rather
stock presentation with just some good maintenance to resurrect
this wagon from its decades-long slumber. So while there are plenty
of great performance parts for the mighty Mopar LA engine, we also
just like how this is a pleasant cruiser from day one. It fires up
readily, idles smoothly, and runs with a steadfastness of a daily
driver. So this Dodge remains a terrific family wagon. Plus, the
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes,
and front discs make journeys near and far quite easy.
The sale comes complete with maintenance records and the owner's
manual. This is family-style nostalgia at its finest. So if you
want a well-priced true classic wagon distinction, call today!
