1975 Triumph TR6
VIN: CF39969LO
In the late 70s, the TR6 was equivalent to the modern-day Corvette. Where can you find a high-performance car that can keep up with the best supercars of its day for just a fraction of the price?
The TR6 featured a four-speed manual transmission, all synchromesh, and close gearing for aggressive driving. It also offered a semi-trailing arm, independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15-inch wheels and tires, pile carpet on floors and trunk/boot, bucket seats, and a full complement of instrumentation. Remember we’re talking about the days when side mirrors and windshield wipers were options!
Braking was accomplished via disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear, and a rear anti-roll bar and a limited-slip differential were available if you wanted to get fancy. The TR6 is powered by an in-line 6-cylinder, 2498 cc, 152.4 cu in. 2.5 liter engine weighing in at 2200 lbs. Oh, I almost forgot to mention it was a convertible!
This particular TR6 lives up to its legendary value. The car has recently been sorted out mechanically. Be the next owner of this collectible, one of Triumph Motor’s most famous creations.
