Vehicle Description
The 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle coupe was one of the baddest cars on
the streets, and it's one of the most desired muscle cars today. So
finding one with the right Super Sport look, a custom/comfy
interior, and serious big block power seems to be the best way to
rule the neighborhood.
Red always helps give a car a bold presence, especially when it's a
more modern application done within the last year. Plus, the sporty
black dual stripe package is iconic, and it was laid down before
the clearcoat, so it has a smooth finish. Good glass, complete
trim, and bright chrome bumpers give it a dignified style. Of
course, the underlying intimidation factor is taken a notch with
aggressive touches such as the upgraded cowl hood, hood pins, and
blackout SS grille. And this has a terrific stance and some serious
shine from the upgraded 18-inch polished American Racing
wheels.
The interior has a particularly thoughtful style. After all, where
the exterior is red with hints of black, the color theme seems to
have switched on the inside. This two-tone upholstery uses red for
the most thoughtful pieces, like comfy cloth inserts, attractive
contrast piping, and wide headrests on the upgraded front bucket
seats. Plus, the dark door panels, carpeting, and dash all have the
look of a proper investment. As inviting as this is to bring along
everyone, we also like a solid focus on the driver. You see it in
the center console with a horseshoe floor shifter, grippy NK4
steering wheel, and sporty round gauges with large speedo and
tach.
It's always great to see a Chevelle engine bay filled with big
block power. And the tidy setup gives you a clear view of the
polished components and powerful additions. This 454 cubic-inch V8
has a Holley dual-line four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Victor
Jr intake, and Hooker long tube headers feeding directly into
glasspack-style mufflers. There are even the right supporting
components, like MSD ignition, new wiring harness, and Erson
polished valve covers. So you get a big power package that has a
beastly sound, but it also was built to still be a true driver. The
TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is a stout unit to handle
big power, and it also shifts smoothly for nice cruising. The same
idea of strength and utility is in the 12-bolt Positraction rear.
Power steering, power brakes, front discs, and modern ZR-rated
tires make for an all-around solid package.
It's hard not to get excited about a big block Chevelle SS tribute
with so much power car appeal. So don't miss this deal, call
