Extremely Low Mileage 1965 Shelby Cobra Superformance being sold from a private collection. Single owner vehicle. This 1965 Superformance Shelby Cobra is Factory built by Superformance in South Africa under exclusive license from Caroll Shelby Licensing Inc. It was reassembled in NY after reaching the United States in 2000. It has a clean title and the Title shows " 1965 Ford ".
Engine is a Ford Windsor 351 V8 bored and stroked to 427 cubic inches producing 550 hp and 540 lb ft torque. This vehicle also had a full fire suppression system added in the engine bay. The transmission is a Tremec TKO 5 Speed Manual. An Extra set of wheels/tires are included, the 15" pictured on the car and 17" full polished wheels including the tools to change them. 2 Keys and Tonneau cover included.

* Floor is lowered 2" in heel area on drivers side (outer frame has also been widened in this area)
* New pedal box is 14" lower and I" further forward (foot box changed)
* Dead pedal pad next to clutch pedal
* Tunnel widened to give more room for 460 clutch/fork/slave cylinder
* Heatshield under brake booster
* Door hinges raised (to clear drivers shin)
* Seat is built with steel tube frame and rubber strap diaphragms
* Mud shields fitted behind rear wheels
* Inner molding on hood modified to clear 460 air cleaner
* Handbrake linkage modified with a double lever system
* Fuel tank fitted with separate pick-up
Aluminum cover to front firewall (engine compartment side)
* New upper rear control arm and hub carrier with an outboard rose-joint
* Mechanical brake light on pedal box
* Scuttle hoop front vertical support moved back (more room for left foot)
The seat slider can be removed and seats fitted flat onto the floor to accommodate a 6'4" or 250-2801b.
