This 1989 GMC Suburban V2500 is a clean and original 3/4 ton
Suburban that spent its life in California. The previous owner used
this truck weekly for the last 5 years and kept in in great
mechanical condition. This is an affordable squarebody Suburban
that had the engine rebuilt in 2019. The body on this Burb is
straight and rust free and the paint is all original. The colors
are Sunset Gold and Tan and you can see the paint has a lot of
Patina and some fading but it looks pretty cool. All of the chrome
and trim is original and still in nice condition. The underside of
this truck is really clean and we found no rust issues with this
vehicle.
The interior is also original and still in great original
condition. The seats, carpet, headliner, door panels and dash bezel
are all in really nice condition. The dash itself has some cracking
and has a carpeted dash cover on it. The headlights, taillights,
brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work.
The power windows and power locks work and the power rear window
works. This truck has tilt wheel and cruise but the cruise is not
working. AC blows cold and the heat and wipers are working. The
horn is inop. It is a nice original interior with a 3rd Row
seat.
Mechanically this Suburban is excellent. The engine is the 5.7L 350
V8 TBI that was professionally rebuilt in 2019 and we do have a
copy of the receipt. There is 40-50,000 miles on the engine since
being rebuilt. It runs strong with no issues or red flags that we
found. The transmission is the Turbo 400 Automatic that shifts
nice. It is mated to the np208 transfer case and the 4WD works like
it should. It has the Corporate 14 Bolt with 4.10 gears and a
limited slip. The front axle is a Corporate 10 Bolt with 4.10
gears. This is all sitting on a nice set of aluminum wheels with
like new All terrain tires size 285/75/16. This truck was used as
an everyday driver for the last few years and could do the same for
you. Otherwise use it as a fun weekend cruiser.
