Vehicle Description
In 1949, A new pickup truck was hard to come by. The end of World
War II had brought incredible pent up demand for consumer products
which led to shortages as industry shifted from tanks and B-29s to
washing machines, lawn mowers...and cars and trucks. -

The textured patina on a vintage Chevrolet truck is hard to pass
up. This 1949 Chevrolet 3100 pickup is the epitome of vintage
patina, something that can never be perfectly matched with new
paint. The well-worn finish and stance on this truck raises the
eyes on every rat rodder and truck lover out there. Not quite a rat
rod or a finished project for that matter but this Chevrolet 3100
has limitless potential for someone that wants to take on a
project.
Although running and driving, this pickup does need some work to
make it a reliable driver. Currently running a strong 350 cubic
inch motor with a freshly rebuilt Edelbrock carburetor, power
steering and power front disc brakes a lot of the work is done. The
fuel tank has been moved from behind the bench seat to the bed,
which provides room for the comfortable seating position allowed by
the aftermarket split bench seat.
This 3100 pickup is running on 18" front and 20" rear Ridler
wheels.
Please note this is a project vehicle with many good features and
some in need of repair or replacement. Items which we know will
require repair or attention include but not limited to a new or
rebuilt transmission, miscellaneous wiring, tires, and functional
gauges.
