Vehicle Description
1984 Ford F800 with an extra set of 4 back wheels and tires. It
will be 40 years old in the fall but it still has only 20,300
original miles. It was a fire department tank truck that had a 1500
gallon tank and pulled a trailer with a 1500 gallon tank from what
I understand. That means it was really used only about 500 miles a
year, pretty much for rural fires. It has a Ford 429 cu in 4 barrel
gas engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. Going down the
highway it cruises like a new truck. Steel gas tank which holds
approx 31 gallons (LxWxD in inches / 231). The second owner put an
8' x 12'-4' steel flatbed on it. I built the custom headache rack
with the custom Ford gussets, USA base and stainless Eagle
w/America. It has a tilt cab with all good glass, nice cab, nice
interior, like new chrome bumper and grill. I have spent alot of
time and work doing updates and repairs on this big guy. New rear
led lights, turn signals, brake lights. New rear mud flaps, treated
lumber 2x4 stakes with steel pipe railings, new amber flashing
lights on cab roof, new air horn, rear frame to carry large US
flag, heavy strong padded 3'x8' bench for parade riders, receiver
hitch landing with hitch flag holder, steps with hand railing to be
able to climb on bed. The steel bed is approximately 48' above
ground. Live PTO, 12 volt DC to 120 vac converter/bluetooth
speaker, working CB radio, working cab heater.
