For Sale: 1934 Chevrolet Master in Muskegon, Michigan

Vehicle Description

Details

This Holden-bodied 1934 Chevrolet Master DA roadster is powered by a 206ci inline-six-cylinder engine backed by a three-speed manual transmission that delivers power to the rear wheels. The Roadster convertible was re-finished in two-tone green and black and has a matching black leather interior. This 1934 Master DA has “knee action” independent front suspension, leaf spring rear suspension, a synchromesh transmission, a rumble seat, and vintage Firestone tires. The odometer shows 2,829 miles since restoration; however, the true mileage is unknown. The stock Roadster was purchased by the current owner in Detroit in 2013. The owner notes that the previous caretaker had the car refurbished. The car is currently located in Muskegon, Michigan.

Third-party photos and inspection were performed and represent the car well. The mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment has only small blemishes, such as a scratch on the right front fender. In the cabin, the leather seats show no signs of wear. Mechanically the car is said to be in proper working order, as noted by the owner. The photos of the car do it justice, from exterior to interior, the car’s overall condition is good. Included in the sale is a set of keys as well as antique literature about the model.

This Chevrolet Roadster is being sold through a CLASSIC.COM Pro and is located in Muskegon, Michigan.

About the model

The Chevrolet Master & Standard was a series of cars introduced for the 1933 model year. Initially, this new family of cars was launched as the Eagle and Mercury, but in the middle of 1933, the models were renamed (Master and Standard, respectively). This family of cars was available in sedan and coupe body styles. The Master & Standard family of cars was powered by a 3.4L version of the Chevrolet's well-established 'Stovebolt Six' engine. The Master represented the top Chevrolet offering at the time, while the Standard represented the base offering. In 1937, Chevrolet shifted their lineup, with the Master now being the base trim and a new Master Deluxe becoming the premium offering. Starting in 1940, an even more upscale version of the Master Deluxe known as the Special Deluxe was introduced and would be the top offering until production ceased due to WW2 in 1942. After the war, this family of cars was replaced by the Chevrolet Fleetmaster and Chevrolet Stylemaster.
