You don't see 1961 Corvettes very often, with only 10,939 built!
They were all convertibles and this one has a hard top and soft
top, which is a very nice option!
The color combination is phenomenal in Black with Silver coves,
paired with a black top. The interior is black and shows very well.
Boyd Coddington wheels have been added and give the car a nice
modern touch. A modern AM/FM/USB radio has been installed, along
with an HEI distributor, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, and Harrison
aluminum radiator to keep the 327 cool.
Other new parts include a new clutch in the Muncie 4-speed manual
transmission, new soft convertible top, and more. The 1961 Vette
received several changes including an updated grill, body color
headlight bezels, a redesigned rear end with 4 taillights.
The casting number on the engine is 3970010 and the seller states
that it is a 327. It has been nicely painted black to show off the
Corvette finned valve covers, air cleaner, and red HEI distributor!
This car is ready to cruise and show, and you will probably be the
only 61 Vette there with Tuxedo Black paint and Silver coves,
considering they only produced 429 on that color combination!
