For Sale: 1988 Chevrolet C/K 1500 in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

This 1988 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado is a bold pickup that makes a commanding first impression. And if you dare get close enough, you'll see that under the hood is one of the hottest small block crate V8s to come out of GM. So it has the look of power and the muscle to back it all up.

The paint has the kind of radiance we'd almost consider nuclear. After all, the orange looks like it could practically glow in the dark. And when you take it out into the sunlight, there's a terrific metallic pop that gives it even more depth. It's a great way to show off the smooth custom style with the color-matched front bumper, color-matched grille, flush rear roll pan, and sleeker style from the deleted badges and trim. There are other stylish details, like the billet grille, clear headlights, LED-style tail lights, and classic spatter paint-style truck bed. But this pickup also wants you to know it's a meaner machine, and you see that in nice upgrades like the tall cowl hood and comprehensive dual exhaust tips. And those 20-inch US Mags alloys do a great job of bringing together the feeling of style and power.

The interior keeps the right stock style where you want it. It has a clean look and sound details, like a fold-down armrest for the driver. There are excellent factory features like power windows, sliding rear glass, a tilt steering column, and provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing and or parts to blow cold again.) There are also some nice upgrades, like tinted windows and an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input for your smartphone. The driving experience is also nicely updated with auxiliary readouts on the A-pillar and a sports steering wheel done to match the exterior orange.

It's easy to see the engine bay is not stock. The exterior orange makes for smooth and bright inner walls and nicely showcases the tidy and shining heart in the middle. We're told this is a 385 GM Fast Burn motor. This is an awesome powerhouse that brings together the best of GM's crate motor program. It starts with a ZZ4 performance powerhouse and adds Fast Burn aluminum heads. The factory specs include a forged steel crankshaft, hypereutectic pistons, and a steel hydraulic roller camshaft. So while it's a 350 cubic-inch powerhouse, the 385 name comes from the horsepower and torque rating! It inhales deeply with a Demon four-barrel carburetor, and the headers let this exhale with added power and rumble. It's a serious power package, and we're told the 700R4 four-speed transmission was rebuilt specifically to maximize it. This trans makes a nice balance where it works with the low rear-end gearing for power take-offs or you can just let it shift into overdrive comfort. Plus, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and sport tires make for a solid all-around driver.

This is a custom pickup that looks wild on the outside, upgraded on the inside, and has the performance to live up to a true truck's ability. It's a great total package that won't wait long at this price. Call now!
