Vehicle Description
This is the cool cruiser that's going to get you plenty of
attention. After all, when was the last time you saw a 1987
Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme coupe in such a stock condition? Plus,
with the premium Cutlass Salon trim, proper V8 power, an overdrive
transmission, and the ultra-desirable T-tops, this really covers
your full wish list... including a value price.
This was one of the last years for this classic Cutlass design, and
it was also the debut of the new aerodynamic front end. So it makes
a car like this quite collectible even before you see the level of
care that has gone into keeping things looking this vintage. For
example, the factory medium gray metallic is a great color for the
era, and this was given a quality respray to keep it looking sharp.
It goes perfectly with the tastefully classy elements like the full
ornamentation (even on the taillights,) mirror-like bumpers, clean
glass, and dark pinstripe. Plus, the gray landau vinyl roof is a
true classic American luxury touch that looks terrific here. But
the Super Stock wheels also remind you that these could have a
touch of sporty cruiser - especially with the T-top option.
The gray interior is a nice and harmonizing tone with the exterior,
and so it's just another great reason to drive with the T-tops out.
It's a distinctly loaded vintage machine with power windows, power
locks, cruise control, and smooth wood-like trim. In fact, the only
upgrade you're like to spot is the AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input.
But we like having a modern stereo in a car that was made to be
driven. There are some details that you may want to restore/service
from age, like the passenger side window, driver's seat upholstery,
or the factory air conditioning. But as you can see from the pics,
the interior is quite inviting, and it delivers a proper driver's
atmosphere. You have desirable cruiser features like a power
driver's seat, a full center console, a dual-spoke steering wheel
on a tilt column, and a Rallye gauge package with large speedo and
tach.
The engine bay is presented with a very stock quality where you
still even have the factory decals. So it's a great way to showcase
the Olds-built 307 cubic-inch V8. We like these powerhouses because
they have a rugged construction, and the four-barrel carburetor
means this one is great for tuning. So you'll likely enjoy a little
shadetree mechanic work on a Saturday dialing this in for an ideal
smooth cruiser or making it a bit wilder. And the whole point of a
car like this is to have an ideal driver. That's why you have power
steering, power brakes, front discs, wide Firestone Firehawk Indy
500 tires, and a four-speed automatic transmission with
highway-friendly overdrive.
Complete with the owner's manual packet, this is a stock and
distinct Olds with a terrific features list. So if you're looking
for a classic T-top cruiser, the line starts here. Call
