Vehicle Description
Limited edition, collaborative edition Camaros are all the rage
right now - with unique styling, modern amenities, and huge
horsepower under the hood of all the top prospects. But few can
hold a candle to the modern marvel we have before us - a gorgeous,
muscle-bound GM beauty produced in collaboration with the
professional daredevils at Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE).
With the spirit of Don Yenko running through its veins, this
show-stopping Hyper Blue monster boasts 700 horsepower from its 427
V8/6-speed manual drivetrain, along with a host of options,
luxurious amenities, and an uber-comfortable, race-inspired
houdstooth interior. Better yet, this dark blue supercar has
rarified history within its provenance, as it's officially #1 of
only 50 total Yenko Camaros produced in 2016.
If you're not familiar with Don Yenko, then you probably don't know
much about high-performance Chevrolets, in which case you may not
possess the capacity to enjoy such a ride like this. Or maybe,
letting your hair down in a muscle car with the Chevrolet
equivalent of Carroll Shelby's name slapped on the side is exactly
what you need to kick start your heart. Either way, this dialed-in
Camaro instantly turns life up to 11. SVE and Chevrolet cosmically
paired up to make just 50 of these amazing limited-edition
specimens in 2016, built on the 2SS Camaro coupe baseline with a
$49K second stage price tag for the out-of-this-world setup.
Needing a loud exterior package is a must if you're going to pay
proper homage to Yenko, so they slapped a slick Hyper Blue Metallic
finish on this 2SS coupe, along with custom white Yenko/SC side
stripes and hood graphics that mimic the old Yenko sYc designs of
yore. The wild appearance package also brought a body-color painted
carbon fiber hood with a requisite scoop, a menacing custom grille,
blacked-out rear spoiler, a custom 'Yenko' and '427' badge package,
and those killer 5-spoke wheels with sYc center caps and black
Yenko calipers tucked in just behind them. The total Yenko/SC
package really turns the look of the already-aggressive 2SS up
another notch, and with only 4,129 actual miles, it still presents
as factory-fresh.
Inside are more exclusive elements to the SVE Yenko edition, and
you notice them the moment you open the door and see the special
'Yenko Camaro' door sill plates. The Jet Black interior with 'sYc'
embroidery is an exclusive package only for this special edition
masterpiece with the black leather seats with white houndstooth
inserts perfectly complementing the dark blue exterior. The seats,
leather steering wheel, leather shifter for the 6-speed manual,
matching door panels, and ornate center console all received
coordinated high-end white stitch work, and all the soft materials
inside are either plush leather or smooth high-end fabric that
still feel, look, and smell like a new car. An 'SS' badge at the
lower portion of the 3-spoke, flat-bottomed wheel feels fat and
grippy, and a bespoke 'Yenko' badge on the dash names the car's
sequential production order (#1 out of 50). The comfortable
driver's seat offers an unobstructed view of the recessed gauge
panel full of digital units and the heads-up display projected onto
the windshield, and the big touchscreen in the middle manages all
the media, navigation, and back-up camera. The sculpted middle
console is space age, as are the turbine-like vents for the A/C
system, and as you might expect, this 2SS comes loaded with pretty
much every single option and amenity you could get in 2016.
Under the hood, the snarling, hand-built 427CID all-aluminum V8 is
ready to play. The naturally-aspirated, race-quality engine
features aluminum heads and a custom performance PCM tune, so the
power is immediate, fierce, and devours any asphalt that dare lie
before it. Completely stock and unmodified since it left the SVE
research center, it starts instantly and runs beautifully thanks to
the wonders of a 10-rib dedicated belt-drive system, a large
throttle body, and high-capacity fuel system. As you might expect,
the Camaro's soundtrack is downright erotic, with a custom
stainless-steel dual exhaust with dual-mode functions providing
beautifully violent cackles and baritone revs befitting an engine
of this caliber. State-of-the-art suspension components stick the
car to the pavement even with all that added power, and one look
underneath and you can see this Camaro has rarely been out in the
wild. Power steering, Brembo 4-wheel disc brakes, and supercar
Goodyear Eagle F1 performance tires on those exclusive 20-inch
forged Gunmetal-finished wheels with machined lips and 'sYc'
centercaps means this is a total package from top-to-bottom.
Complete with a large folder of provenance including the original
window sticker, Yenko window sticker, buyer's order sheet, build
sheet, Yenko build brochure, receipt for purchase, odometer
statement, and original owner's manuals from both Chevrolet and
Yenko, this ultra-rare and uber-powerful Yenko/SC Camaro is the
very definition of a 'new' collectible car. And with that kind of
pedigree and unmatched power and performance, it's obvious that
this future classic has all the right features to be enjoyed today
and the distinction to be admired tomorrow. Call now!
