Vehicle Description
This 1979 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod is an upgraded coupe with
fuel-injected V8 power, an overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc
brakes, and a custom loaded leather interior. It makes for the kind
of classic that's fun to drive and always memorable everywhere you
arrive.
The trim tag tells us this was born a Classic White car, and there
was even a more recent respray to keep it looking glossy and
notable. Today, that makes for a bright and attractive driver. And
as you look around the car, you can appreciate the details of a
later C3, like the color-matched bumpers, clean sloping rear glass,
and integrated spoiler. And there are upgrades that make this more
fun for both show and go. The coupe now rides on black American
Racing wheels. The wider rear set and 17/18-inch front/rear stagger
give this a sporty stance, and you also get to fit modern
performance tires that are ideal for the power you bring to the
streets. Plus, the dark wheels seem to draw even more attention to
the polished side pipes that sit in-between them.
The light beige interior has a bright style that looks good against
the white exterior, so it makes for a great car to enjoy with the
T-tops out. There are nice details like good carpeting and door
panels, but what's most appealing here is the driver-focused style.
The bucket seats are borrowed from a Fiero. They have terrific
bolstering for better comfort and are even finished in supple
leather. And speaking of comfort, this is loaded with terrific
features, like power windows, power locks, tinted windows, a
Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth, and R134a air conditioning.
You get a three-spoke steering wheel on a tilt/telescopic column,
and ahead of that are the large dual pod gauges for the speedo and
tach. Just to the side are a full set of auxiliary readouts to keep
you informed on what's happening under the hood.
When you open the hood, the engine bay looks far different than
most other C3s out there. It's a Chevy V8, but a younger 5.3-liter
fuel-injected version installed in 2020. There are even some nice
upgrades like a Speedmaster intake and shorty headers feeding into
those awesome side pipes. Plus, this was upgraded to a modern 4L60E
four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. That means this
Corvette feels like it's always in the ideal gear whether you're in
the passing lane or cruising down the highway. You also have a
fully independent suspension, power steering, and four-wheel power
disc brakes for a total package that makes this custom a fun
all-around driver.
This coupe has been given the right style and substance to be that
ideal mix when you can have a head-turning rumbling custom with
some every-day appeal. Call today!!!
