horsepower that is mated to a 6L80E six speed automatic
transmission all backed up by a Detroit Speed 9-inch rear end with
3.25 gears and Mosher 31-spline axles. The internals on the LS3
powerhouse have been beefed up with Texas Speed camshaft and
nodular iron crankshaft. Sitting on top of the engine is a
fabricated aluminum intake with Spectre cold-air intake kit.
The stance and ride quality have been enhanced with Detroit Speed
hydroformed front subframe and C6-style spindles. JRi
double-adjustable shocks, 450-pound springs and 1-inch sway bar all
provide the perfect front suspension mix. Out back the rear
suspension is a Detroit Speed QUADRALink fitted with JRi
double-adjustable shocks, 175-pound springs and 7/8-inch sway
bar.
This iconic Nova rides on Hot Rods by Boyd HR-99 wheels (189
front, 1811 rear) wrapped in Continental Extreme Contact DWS
tires: 255/35R18 front, 295/35R18 rear. Stopping power is by way of
Wilwood brakes with 14-inch rotors and six-piston calipers up front
along with 13-inch rotors and four-piston calipers out back.
The quality of the exterior finishes speak for themself, and is
sure to impress even the most critical eye. Expertly sprayed Spies
Hecker Ruby Red Pearl custom mixed paint beautifully accentuates
the subtle yet stunning body modifications. Many skilled hours were
spent flush-mounting glass, deleting drip rails, custom-fabricating
metal front and rear spoilers, flushing the fuel filler, smoothing
and tucking the bumpers, and incorporating Aerospace hood pins.
The interior is as nice as the exterior with custom black & tan
leather Built By Ricky (Alexander City, AL), Ididt steering column
with Billet Specialties steering wheel, Lokar shifter with tap
shift and custom fabricated dash utilizing Dakota Digital gauges to
keep an eye on what is taking place under the hood.
