For Sale: 1985 Lincoln Town Car in Lavergne, Tennessee
The 1985 Lincoln Town Car reminds you of a time when someone who
made it big in the family stepped up to this level of rolling
opulence. It was the car that made any trip special, and now is
your opportunity at a highly-original loaded V8 cruiser that's pure
premium nostalgia.
The Cartier Edition is special because it has an exclusive Crystal
Clearcoat Metallic finish that's timelessly stylish. This shows all
signs of being the original application, including the classic
half-vinyl roof and correct bold red pinstripes. And like a proper
Cartier, there's plenty of wealthy jewelry on display, too. So all
the trim is complete, including the bumpers, mirror-like rocker
trim, and bright work that surrounds every piece of glass. The
overall feeling of this car is about retaining originality while
giving you a true cruiser feeling. In fact, while it's unknown if
the five-digit odometer reflects the full mileage, this likely at
least rolled over once. So the impression is stylish but more
survivor than perfect. So while the upgraded US Mags 17-inch alloys
have the bright polish to be a terrific attention grabber, the
stock wheels also come with the sale.
While the exterior easily lives up to the premium Lincoln name,
it's the interior where the reputation is really earned. Full-sized
luxury means you can choose to seat six or fold down the armrests
in both rows to give four people individual comfort. The gray
leather with velvet-like inserts has a supple feel. And everything
looks correct, right down to the Cartier logo on the dash's
wood-like trim. There's a long list of desirable features,
including power seats, power locks, power windows, a tilt steering
column, an electric rear defogger, the premium AM/FM/cassette
stereo, and cold-blowing air conditioning. And we love the optional
digital gauge cluster that's pure retro-cool, and it even adds a
trip computer.
This is a premium Ford product from the 1980s, and so you know
there's a 5.0-liter V8 under the hood. But while the fuel-injected
motor was earning a street-eating reputation in the Mustang, this
is quite a different setup. It utilizes its powerful and
torque-filled heart in a more refined way. So no rumbling burnouts
here, but you do get to be the first to pull away for the stoplight
any time you want. In fact, it has an eager and smooth nature that
reaffirms a quality life and proper maintenance. Plus, it has power
steering, power brakes, front discs, and a four-speed automatic
transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. So it's the kind of
classic luxury that can still easily take you in comfort on long
road trips.
Complete with maintenance records, this one feels like the Town Car
from your memories. So when it's time to reminisce, don't grab a
photo album...reach for this Lincoln instead. Call today!!!
