Vehicle Description
1999 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Roadster
The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is a grand touring car manufactured by
Mercedes Benz since 1954. The designation SL derives from the
German Sportlich-Leicht, which translates to lightweight sport.
With unlimited speed limits prevalent in Europe, individuals who
owned such cars could quickly travel from point A to point B. This
is the true definition of grand touring, meaning traveling in
luxury and style at high speed.

been meticulously documented with regards to last years since 2017
with service, and upkeep. A convertible top which has all new
hydraulics, always garage kept and well cared for since the
consignor took ownership. He bought the car due to its color combo.
All full of options, and conveniences, wrapped in red with tan
leather interior nice and clean.
Exterior
Enveloped in beautiful Imperial Red, the exterior of this car looks
like it just came from the showroom.Headlights are clear, nicely
inset for aero efficiency and integrated body matching neoprene
crash bumpers are adding to the look of love. You have the
convertible which is sight unseen when folded hydraulically behind
the driver and passenger and covered with the included tonneau
covering. Also when the top is down a matching roll bar protects
the passengers and has a sleek swept back design. Mercedes 17-inch
5 spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 245/45R17 radials from the 39th

The interior of the doors sport some tan leather with a strip of
burl accenting coming directly from the Black Forest of the
motherland. The seat adjustment and door actuators are waiting in
this field as well as a stereo speaker. Parchment, (tan), leather
overstuffed big bolstered bucket seats, with plush padding and
stitching, allow the driver and passenger an almost endless array
of recline, height, temperature and stiffness options at the touch
of a button. There is a storage area behind the two bucket seats,
as well as a wonderfully fully lined trunk in light tan velor. Burl
can also be seen in the center console housing the stereo, CD
player, window controls, top actuator as well as the shifter. The
dash is a beautiful complimentary dark tan and presents very clean.
The instrument cluster in front of the wheel has a lineup of
circular gauges which are very easy to read at a glance. These
analog gauges keep you informed of all major functions. A leather
mixed with burl wrapped sport steering wheel can be adjusted to
ergonomic alignment for the driver, no matter what size they are.
Clean tan carpeting floods the floors throughout.
Drivetrain
A 5.0 liter V8 drinks from an electronically controlled fuel
injection system. The smooth as silk 5-speed automatic transmission
can whisk you efficiently, or quickly down the highway. In back is
a limited slip 2.65 final drive rear axle. All clean and covered
with plastic protective coverings and all very German.
Undercarriage
Fully independent front and rear suspension provide a ride that
fools you into exactly how fast or slow you are really traveling. 4
wheel power disc brakes stop this luxury sports car on a dime.
Original exhaust and no rust are noted underneath.
Drive-Ability
This sports car fired right up and when inside you are truly in the
lap of luxury. Power was available on an unlimited basis and the
car drove super smoothly, and handled like it was a high speed
train on rails. It has been recently inspected, and has the new
hydraulics for the top which moves up and down with speed and ease.
All functions are working just fine.
A nice example from 1999 Mercedes Benz engineering, that has
remained timeless. Plenty of options, and conveniences adorn this
car, and the color combination with the contrast of the exterior
Imperial Red, and the wonderful mixture of materials all in the
Parchment coloring. Upon looking at the records the consignor kept
for this case, you can be assured exactly how well this car has
been cared for, and it looks the part.
