For Sale: 1973 Volkswagen Type 2 in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

This 1973 Volkswagen Type 2 Bus has the clean looks of a road-ready traveler. And as you look at the details, you'll spot some unique features that make this even more fun wherever you roam.

We like the look of the teal paint. It has a bright and cheery attitude that makes a VW like this so much fun. It also looks good against the white bumpers, whitewall tires, and distinct upgraded extra-height roof. A proper Type 2 is a true traveler, so it looks good while looking road-ready. And we love all the added details, like the headlight eyelids, rear side step, and luggage rack over the roof. Plus, the graphics are in vinyl, so you can keep what you like and peel away the rest.

The interior starts with cool-looking bucket seats done to match the exterior teal. There are nice added details like the upgraded door handles and shifter knob, but we particularly like that nothing spoils the old-school Bus feeling. We don't have the full info on the history of this one, but it seems to have led a previous life as a promotional/business vehicle. That seems to be a good thing because the rear is set up to be very much like a lounge. A handy full cabinet has a countertop, a nice-sized mini fridge, laminate flooring, and a comfy rear set. The upgraded roof also gives you a better standing room. Plus, it still has a proper traveling nature with vent windows, window curtains, and the seat turns into a bed. And that large air conditioner can cool down the whole van quite quickly.

The engine is Volkswagen's famous flat-four unit, and we bet you'll love showing off the uniquely detailed engine bay. This 1700cc air-cooled motor is known for its hardy nature, and it fires up easily. And when combined with the smooth-shifting four-speed manual transmission, it feels like it's always ready for its next adventure. And with KYB shocks, modern tires, and power brakes, it has a nice confidence on the road.

You know how hot the market is for these Type 2s right now, so a value price on a uniquely loaded Bus is irresistible. Call now!
