Vehicle Description
Classic Car Addict is excited to present this supercharged 2010
Camaro 2SS for sale in our Mesa, AZ showroom. After a considerable
hiatus during the 2000s, the Camaro made a triumphant return for
the 2010 model year and completed the pony car trifecta joining the
latest Ford Mustang and the resurrected Dodge Challenger. Based on
a completely new platform with faithful yet contemporary design
language, the authenticity of the Camaro's look, feel and
performance was never more apparent. This 5th gen Camaro SS
features the higher 2SS trim level featuring leather upholstery, a
6-speed manual transmission and added power.
Many interior styling cues come from the first-generation Camaro's
1969 model with deeply inset gauges on the instrument panel and a
center console that features additional instrumentation ahead of
the Hurst short throw shifter with pistol grip. Monitoring oil
pressure, oil temperature, voltage and transmission temperature,
the driver is always well informed of engine vitals when at the
command of this Camaro SS. Standard with the 2SS option package was
the nine-speaker, 245-watt, Boston Acoustics sound system, with
remote audio connectivity and steering wheel-mounted auxiliary
controls.
The original Inferno Orange finish is stated to be in great
condition, does have a few imperfections. The new Camaro looks like
the first-generation (1967-69) updated with fancy footwear and a
smattering of Corvette cues. The hiked beltline and squished roof
give it a menacing appearance. SS Camaros can be distinguished by
their standard 20-inch wheels, hood scoop, and rear spoiler. The
front slot-on the front fascia, not the hood-is decorative. During
our suburban-Detroit intro drive, the new Camaro generated a wake
of raised-thumb salutes. The horsepower oppressed are restless. She
rolls on KUMHO 245/45ZR20 front and 275/40ZR20 rears.
The Camaro's V-8s are kissing cousins to the Corvette's 6.2-liter
engine, so rumble and reverb come standard. There's nothing to
complain about in the power department, as the manual transmission
Camaro SS easily thumps both the Challenger SRT8 and the latest
Mustang GT. Meaty back boots, a limited-slip differential, and
stability control are all standard. One handy feature is an
electronic launch-control program that delivers just the right
amount of smoky burnout for dramatic root beer stand exits. This
Camaro features a ZL1 twin screw supercharger, Texas Speed exhaust
and long tube headers, Kenne Bell high pressure secondary fuel
pump, and was recently dyno tuned by Nic D at Cordes Performance
Racing in Tempe AZ. Dyno tuned to 588.35 (have dynojet paperwork
available), this was a conservative tune so it could be a daily
driver. It does also feature a new McLeod racing clutch RTX
1000.
This Camaro has all the right options and was meant to look like a
sleeper. Just wait until you get this one, you will be presently
surprised! Call Classic Car Addict today, 480-256-1459.
