The fourth generation Camaro was the last of the F-Body platform that debuted in 1967 representing GM's entry into the Pony Car wars with Ford, Mopar and AMC. As time and generations marched on, and as is the nature of a classic battle royale, it came down to Mustang vs Camaro. And oh, what a battle it was. Punch, counter punch.
Chevy's final counterpunch came in the form of the all new, all aluminum, all conquering LS1 engines and they reigned supreme until Ford resorted to putting a supercharger on top of it's own aluminum V8.
This 1998 Camaro is the SS edition which featured a handful of performance enhancing modifications to the mid level Z28 model. This one wears tuxedo black on black leather with t-tops and the coveted 6-speed manual transmission.
