Vehicle Description
1936 FORD TRUCK "FLATHEAD V-8" STREET ROD
We just got in this really cool and very well built "OLD SKOOL
HOT-ROD" 1936 Ford V-8 truck. Purchased from a retired "Old Skool"
car guy who decided it was time to sell off his collection to
downsize his life. (I suppose it's gonna happen to all of us at
some point in life) He told us that he built this truck to resemble
the one that he had built and cruised his local boulevard in as a
young Hot-Rodder back in the day. That's pretty cool and it doesn't
get much cooler then this old HOT-ROD. CHECK IT OUT!!
The body is all "Henry Ford" original steel except for the glass
running boards and the new metal truck bed and it is all solid as a
rock! Painted in Hot-Rod Black in a mat finish it looks
really-really cool! The interior is not finished (YET) It does have
bucket seats and a black headliner but no carpet or door panels.
Our intentions are to finish it off but maybe you got some other
ideas and want it "AS-IS" before we get to it so lets talk about
it! Anyway... It does have a fully functional "DOLPHIN" instrument
cluster and an "IDIDIT" chrome tilt steering column with a banjo
steering wheel. Pretty Kool!
The mechanics of this old Hot-Rod is what is Super Kool! Power come
from a 239 c.i. 24 stud Flathead V-8 that we were told has been
worked over, bored out, cammed up and topped off with a Holley
4bbl. carb and converted to a 12 Volt electrical system. It fires
right up and sounds awesome! It is backed up by a Borg-Warner T-5 5
speed manual transmission and a 9" Ford rear with a 3:25 gear
set.
Other really cool features include rack-n-pinion steering, front
disc brakes with vented rotors, custom dual exhaust, 15" American
Racing Torq-thrust II wheels with painted gray centers and radial
tires and get this, COLD VINTAGE AIR CONDITIONING !!!
This truck runs, rides and drives incredibly well and looks
incredibly KOOL!!!
DON'T MISS IT !!
