Vehicle Description
1964 Fords Were Quite The Car Of Their Time With The Entire Model
Line-Up Names Motor Trends "Car Of The Year" For 'The Concept Of
Total Performance Based On High Performance Testing In Open
Competition'.
Ford restyled its entire line for 1964 bringing a visual identity
to every variant from the big Galaxie 500 to the compact Falcon. An
unusual variety of engines were available. The engine of choice for
most was the 352 cubic inch 4-barrel with 250 brake horsepower at
4,400 rpm as installed in this very original and well preserved
1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible. The interior is original with
new carpets and is in nearly like new condition. The paint is
mostly original and in very nice condition. The body and chrome are
straight. It is equipped with the correct chrome wire wheels and
even has the right hoses in the detailed engine bay. The dashboard
looks nearly showroom fresh. Equipment includes a clock, radio,
power-operated top, Ford-o-Matic automatic transmission and narrow
whitewall tires. This is very attractive, sympathetically preserved
and thoughtfully maintained largely original Ford with the premium
Galaxie 500 trim package. It has great presence and will be a very
enjoyable and satisfying cruiser. It is a neat and well-preserved
car that will get plenty of admiring comments
