Vehicle Description
CSX4859
Shelby American introduced the fire-breathing big block Cobra in
January 1965, instantly making it the standard for performance
vehicles. From the computer-designed independent suspension to the
all-new frame, luscious bodywork and enormous powerplant, the
mighty Shelby Cobra was considered by many to be the most desirable
sports car in the world.
Shelby American began offering the big block Shelby Cobras again in
1996 and CSX4859 is one of the lowest mileage sports cars ever
built. The roadster's durable fiberglass body wears deep Rangoon
Red paint and the odometer reads an amazing 14 miles since it
rolled out of the factory.
The car was built with purity and originality in mind. The
transmission is a 4-speed Top Loader mated to a 428 Super Cobra Jet
Ford V8. The car rides on 15? Halibrand-style knock-off wheels with
high-performance tires.
The low-back bucket seats are trimmed in black. The wood-rimmed
steering wheel is offset nicely by Smith and Lucas gauges. The
Shelby even includes the optional 16-gallon fuel cell.
Shelby Cobra CSX4859 has 14 miles and has never been titled; it is
for sale on the original Carroll Shelby signed MSO and is available
for $184,950.
