Real Deal 1974 Nova SS! Throughout the 1970s, it was clear that the
high-performance age of the '60s was coming to an end. The
Chevrolet Nova, on the other hand, dared to be different by
continuing to stick to the formula of offering relatively fast,
attractive, and inexpensive cars. This 1974 Chevrolet Nova is a
wonderful example of that formula, combining classic Nova style
with a hot powertrain underneath the hood. Powered by a 350 C.I.
Chevrolet V8 breathing through a 4-barrel carburetor, this '74 Nova
is deceptively quick. Torque is put to the pavement through the use
of a 3-speed automatic transmission, which allows for a smooth ride
as it shifts seamlessly. The exterior white paint is a little rough
around the edges in some places, but it still looks great laid out
over this Nova's straight bodylines. The "NOVA SS" decals presented
in two-tone gold and black look absolutely fantastic, and they
definitely add to the sporty character of this car! The floors,
frame, trunk and jambs are all in good shape, and all present well.
Opening the doors reveals a good-looking black vinyl interior,
complete with comfy bucket seats that are perfect for those
long-distance drives. Options on this sweet Nova include power
steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, dual-sport mirrors, the
original gauge cluster with clock, center aux. gauges, a remote
driver's mirror, an SS steering wheel, tinted windows, SS decals,
an aftermarket Jensen AM/FM/Cassette stereo, a heater + defroster,
and a mean-sounding Flowmaster dual exhaust system. The car rides
on some stock-spec 14" Chevrolet rally wheels over B.F. Goodrich
RWL tires for a sweet, period-correct look. This '74 Nova runs and
drives wonderfully down the road, and it's ready for summer fun at
the turn of a key.
