Only 3,761 of the 96,275 Camaros built in 1988 were IROC
convertibles, making this a very rare find!! This IROC-Z has a
great look with black paint, red graphics, black top, alloy wheels,
and brand new radial tires.
Under the hood is the factory 5.0 Liter V8, backed by an automatic
transmission. The A/C system is brand new and blows cold. Power
steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, tilt steering,
AM/FM/Cassette, power seat, and manual convertible top round out
the options list.
This was an $18,015 vehicle in 1988! The convertible conversion was
performed by ASC in conjunction with Chevrolet, and the ASC sticker
is still in the door. The RPO sticker is in the center console and
this Camaro has a clean CarFax that never counts the mileage above
60,851, which means the 61,690 on the odometer may be original to
the car!
The interior is clean and comfortable with bucket seats, center
console, fold down rear seat, and tilt steering wheel. The 8th
digit in the VIN is an F, which lets us know this is the LB9
engine, which was available only in the IROC-Z. Don't sleep on this
classic 80s muscle car. It won't last long!
