Vehicle Description
This 1974 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is instantly attractive
for its value price. But as you dig deeper you're going to discover
an appealing driver's car with features including a Bluetooth radio
and fresh upgraded V8.
The long hood, short deck, and awesomely flared fenders make the
Stingray convertible a true speedy-looking classic. And the factory
Mille Miglia Red and bright rally wheels are all part of a great
red-blooded sports car attitude. So since it's a true driver's car,
we like that the presentation of the body and finish are quite
complete but are far from perfect. It means you can take this
sharply-pointed drop-top out any day of the week and not cry every
time the road kicks up a pebble. And you know it looks good when
it's out driving. There are even cool details, like how the black
stripe on the hood not only highlights the raised cowl but also
coordinates with the black folding roof.
And since you like the look of the black top when it's in place,
you'll love folding it back to reveal a full black interior. This
one was built to enjoy with high-back leather bucket seats, a
center console, power windows, and an upgraded AM/FM stereo with
Bluetooth. And the sports steering wheel, tilt column, and awesome
gauge package anchored by the large speedo and tach are all about
engaging your enthusiast's heart.
The engine bay has a tidy look, and at the center is a 350 cubic
inch V8 motor. We are told it's a new powerplant with only about
200 miles since installation, so even the belts, spark plugs, and
wires look quite fresh. The V8 also includes a nice Edelbrock trio
with the four-barrel carburetor, finned valve covers, and an
aluminum intake. It fires up eagerly, and long tube headers give
this added power and rumble as they feed the dual exhaust and
Flowmaster-style mufflers. A TH400 three-speed is stout enough to
handle this torque-filled motor while also providing easy automatic
shifting. Don't forget the C3 also knows how to take the corners.
With the fully independent suspension, power steering, and
four-wheel power disc brakes, this classic is an awesome all-around
driving package.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and era-correct
copies of Corvette News. This was one of the last years for the C3
convertible, and it only made up about 15 percent of the
production. So we like this one for representing the great American
drop-top while also giving us a bit of rarity. The value price also
means you get to personalize this one if you choose to invest in
the paint, upholstery, A/C system, or other details. And at its
heart, you know this one delivers drop-top fun with plenty of V8
rumble from day one. Call today!!!
