Introducing a 1979 International Scout II Traveler (long wheelbase). This truck is a true "barn find". After years of searching, we found it in California. It is a fantastic starting point for a partial or full restoration, or would be a great driver with minimal required work to get it there.
The truck is finished in Orange Spice with a white removable top and orange/black vinyl/cloth plaid interior. Power is sent from the 345CI V8 to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 29,015 miles. The total mileage is unknown.
It currently starts, drives, and stops quite well! We would love to complete this one ourselves but are shifting gears and primarily focusing on customer-owned builds. If you're looking for something to work on yourself and want something that is already mostly there, this is just about as good as it gets!
