1955 Ford Fairlane Town Sedan.The Fairlane model was introduced in
1955, coinciding with the styling and introduction of the original
Thunderbird. These luxurious vehicles helped Ford achieving its
highest sales figures since 1923. The trademark stainless 'Fairlane
stripe' along the length of the car and two-tone paint make the
beautiful Fairlane highly sought after today to enjoy cruises and
local car shows. Highlights Iconic first-generation styling from
hooded headlamps to rocket taillamps, complete with fender skirts!
Restoration completed in 2006 included re-trimming the interior in
two-tone blue and white vinyl upholstery, new carpet and headliner,
door panels, and fitting all new tinted glass. Powered by the
top-of-the-line 292 cu-in "Thunderbird V8" and a 3-speed
transmission. (no overdrive) Refinished in what is believed to be
its original colors of two-tone Aquatone Blue and Snowshoe White
(using epoxy primer, three base coats, and three clear coats) as
part of the on-frame restoration Engine was reportedly rebuilt in
2006, the cylinders were bored .040 inches over stock, may have
only 101 miles. The brakes were replaced from master cylinder to
hoses and shoes and new Firestone wide whitewall tires mounted on
powder-coated wheels in 2015 Please note that while the five-digit
odometer displays 101 miles at the time of listing, the true
mileage of this Fairlane is unknown. Original chrome bumpers,
