In the classic car world, the “Mid-year” Corvettes, in terms of beauty, value, performance, and across the board collect-ability, land pretty much at the top of the list!
Add the one-year only Split window design, and you can be assured you're making an intelligent classic car buying decision.
This particular Stingray is an original Riverside red, black interior, 327/340 horse, 4 speed car. The paint is base/coat, clear/coat, and is in beautiful condition, the black interior, including the bucket seats appear original. The dash, carpeting, headliner are also excellent.
The engine is the original numbers matching, 327/340 horse, and it starts, and runs excellent!
The T-10 4 speed transmission shifts smoothly, and the clutch is easy to push. The 4 wheel drum brake system  works great as well. All of the original gauges work properly. all lights, the heater, the turn signals all function  as they should. Even the clock works!
We all buy classic cars for a number of reasons, and most all of them, of course, have the cool factor that is generally at the top of the list of reasons. That said, you want to be smart when considering any classic car purchase. Buy something you like, something that drives nicely, looks great, and holds, if not increases it's value as time progresses. The fact is, you just can't go wrong in any direction with a Mid-year Corvette, and  in consideration of a 1963 Split window, well..That's just about as good as it gets.
