The Ford Falcon, first introduced to the North American market for
the 1960 model year, was the first compact car marketed by the Big
Three American manufacturers. Developed as a scaled down version of
the full-size Galaxie, the Falcon offered a full range of body
styles including two-door and four-door sedans, two-door hardtops
and convertibles, two-door and four-door station wagons and the
coupe utility pickup.
The second generation Falcon, produced in 164-65, remain popular
today with the revised, more squared-off styling. The 2 Door
Hardtop presented at auction is a nice example of the very
successful platform from Ford Motor Company and features the
