This 1972 Ford Mustang Convertible combines some vintage details, a
commanding color combo, and V8 power to make this feel like a true
classic with cruiser appeal.
The trim tag tells us this was born a Bright Red convertible. Later
in life, there was even a respray to keep it looking glossy and
notable. While they were updating the factory paint, they also
decided to give this a touch of Mach 1 style in silver. The painted
hood stripe, full-length hockey stick stripe, rockers, and deep
front spoiler all coordinate for a look that's equal parts sporty
and stylish. Plus, the chrome looks bright on bumpers, Mag 500
wheels, dual exhaust tips, and on the rarely-seen luggage rack.
Good window seals and a newer white convertible top (with desirable
glass black window) all come together to make for the overall
impression of a clean and attractive driver-ready classic.
If you like the way the white roof looks against the red, then
you'll love to power it down to reveal a similar color combo with
the white interior. It has a very vintage feeling that's quite
inviting. In fact, this one really likes to show off its
classic/stock style with details like insignia trim on the seats,
wood trim on the door panels, working under dash lights, a working
clock, clean factory gauges, and a color-matched convertible boot.
It also has the right setup to be a cruiser with high traffic areas
like the carpet, steering wheel, and center console are done in
black. And there's a nicely integrated AM/FM digital tuner for
modern driving music.
This was born an F-code car, and so it's great to see the correct
302 cubic-inch displacement still under the hood. Just like the
rest of the car this likes to appear quite stock and tidy with just
the right hint of upgrades. So while the big blue powerhouse looks
boldly vintage, you also have a nicer V8 tune thanks to the
glasspack style dual exhaust. The motor fires up readily like it
wants to hit the road, and this is good for any-time driving with
features like a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering,
power brakes, and front discs.
This is the pony car with the look and features you want in a cool
cruisin' drop-top classic. So if you want a distinctive classic
Mustang, call today!
