Vehicle Description
It's hard to find something more desirable than this 2019
Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 63 S Edition 1. It's the launch edition of a
future classic and a modern exotic. The masters at AMG specifically
developed a nearly 200 mph supercar that has the kind of grand
touring room for four that we haven't seen since Bugatti tried to
give us EB 218 decades ago. What this really means is that Mercedes
knew this four-door coupe is always going to be seen as something
special, and this is the car they used to mark that milestone.
It's important to note that Mercedes calls this a four-door coupe.
That's because its slipstream style is sleeker than many two-door
sports cars out there. The Edition 1 cars are instantly
distinguished with some of the best details around. This includes
Designo Graphite Grey Magno paint, a graphite grey stripe kit, and
golden AMG calipers behind 21-inch AMG forged cross-spoke wheels.
There's even a blackout logo package to make this one look extra
mean. And the full presentation can make your garage feel like a
showroom. After all, there's less than 4500 miles on the odometer,
and with both a full ceramic coating and paint protection film,
this one has been preserved to look like the instant collectible
that it is. It's believed well less than 400 examples of the
Edition 1 were ever made, and so even Bugatti made more Veyrons
than there were of these AMG GTs. But this one is basically a
singular creation. That's because it was intensified by the masters
at RENNtech. We're told there was over $50k invested in upgrades
inside and out for this car. The one you'll notice first is a full
carbon fiber lower body kit. It further enhances the aerodynamics
with a wide chin splitter, larger rocker flares, a new rear
diffuser, and an upgraded rear spoiler. RENNtech is a trusted
tuner, and so these additions add real performance and are often
seen as a value enhancer over the long run.
Once inside, you remember why you want a Mercedes sports car
because they don't skip out on the luxury. This is an exclusive
Nappa leather done in a tasteful Magma Grey. The yellow accents are
a thoughtfully bold addition to the stitching on the seat, dash,
and steering wheel. They even use yellow for the seatbelts and
center position on the steering wheel. So this one does a good job
of being distinct on the inside, too. There are a ton of luxury
features, including power seats with memory, keyless entry/alarm,
power locks, power mirrors, dual airbags, side airbags, power
steering, cruise control, and a sunroof. There's also a fully
integrated infotainment system with Bluetooth, navigation, a backup
camera, automatic climate control, and more. Mercedes even adds a
touch of pure class with an exclusive cologne that they
automatically add to the air. The flat-bottom AMG steering wheel,
power tilt/telescopic steering column, programmable digital gauge
cluster, and head-up display all remind you that this is a serious
driving machine. But what might just be the most impressive part of
the full package is what's behind the driver. The rear seats have
adult-sized legroom. And while most performance cars of this
caliber only have enough cargo room for a racing helmet, this has
room for a weekend vacation with the golf clubs. We're not
suggesting that you're going to daily drive something this special,
but the full package is useful and practical.
Under the hood is a hand-built 4.0-liter biturbo powerhouse. The S
version is rated at an awesome 630 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. So
this is a supercar with a back seat. Few companies can improve on
this kind of legacy, but RENNtech is on that shortlist. Not only
did they provide carbon fiber for the exterior kit, but also they
made specially formed air intakes and gave this an extra tune. So
this now has more oxygens and knows exactly what to do with it
(purists will be happy to know it's noted that most of the stock
engine components also come with the sale.) We'll let you read all
the magazine articles for the technical specs on the drivetrain
setup, we'll just tell you why AMG is a true master at driver's
cars. The nine-speed transmission gives you total control over the
motor via F1-style paddle-activated shifts. There's even a fully
automatic mode for grand touring comfort. And that balance of pure
performance and usable comfort is the bedrock of the full car.
Anyone can take a big budget and engineer a car with big power and
razor-sharp handling. The reason why you choose a specialty Benz
AMG is because they built a car that can be driven to the track in
luxury and then dialed in at a moment's notice to transform into a
champion. So while this car looks like it has been babied, there's
always a beast lurking within.
Complete with the owner's manual, this feels like the kind of car
that's going to be the star of future high-end auctions (similar to
where the million-dollar 300 SL gullwings are there now.) After
all, this is an exceptionally rare car that has a unique style and
track-dominating power. So you'll like what it gives you today and
love watching the admiration grow even more over time. Call
