Thunderbird ) engine delivering 198 HP mated to a 3 speed
Mercomatic transmission. Car and engine all new for that year, the
largest sales year for Mercury since its debut in 1939. Of the
329,00 cars sold, 10,668 were Montclair convertibles (3%).Options
include: Full power windows, seats, steering (rebuilt steering
box). Late model Cadillac front disc brake conversion hiding dual
master cylinder under original Treadle Vac housing for engine bay
original appearance. Very rare (working) factory fog lights.
Original, working dual spotlights with mirrors. Rare, original
exhaust tips. Fitted doors, trunk, and hood on well preserved dry
climate frame up restoration recently refreshed by AACA award
winning shop. Also included are brand new, clip less wire wheel
covers on brand new Diamondback ply look like white wall radials.
Dashboard gauges, radio, and clock fully sorted and bebuilt.
Stainless, and chrome as new.. Difficult to source Interior
features, correct adornments and trim. Rebuilt carburetor and drive
