Vehicle Description
This is the MG for true enthusiasts. The 1967 MGB is an earlier
model from the series with plenty of great classic touches. And
this example has been under long-term care that also included a
comprehensive restoration to make it quite a stunning driver.
This is the chrome lover's MGB. Not only is this an earlier model
with the bright bumpers and grille, but also this recently restored
roadster keeps everything looking great so the side trim line
follows the European curves in an unbroken line. Plus, you get
great additions such as the luggage rack that was a staple of these
roadsters. We're told this car has spent over a quarter-century
under the same ownership, and in that time there was a
comprehensive restoration. It was completed in 2013 and has only
gone about 2600 miles since then. There was a nice attention to
detail in the work where you have classic elements (like the
fender-mounted side mirrors) that meet with well-integrated
upgrades (the Weld racing wheels have the right shine to coordinate
with all this car's bright chrome.) And it's hard not to admire a
drop-top classic when it's done in such a sleek and radiant
red.
The black folding roof has a great look against the red, especially
with its clean and well-fitting style. And beneath it is an even
more impressive black interior. It all carries a fresher feeling
from a proper investment. Some of these are classic pieces like the
toggle switches, MG floor mats, and proper convertible boot. But
just like the exterior, this one also has well-integrated upgrades.
The bucket seats are quite comfortable with large headrests and
modern bolstering. And the stereo is now an AM/FM/CD stereo with
USB input to plug in your smartphone. Nice wood in places like the
custom center stack, gearshift knob, and surrounding the sports
steering wheel give this true British warmth. Plus, you have a full
set of Smiths gauges for a proper classic sports car
experience.
While you can already tell how comprehensive the restoration was by
the interior and exterior, the engine bay might just be where you
appreciate it the most. After all, the presentation of the 1800cc
motor and its twin carbs looks the best when everything looks so
crisp and clean. But the true worth of the investment in this MGB
is out on the road. This car is all about the driving experience,
and so the ultra-clean undercarriage gives you added confidence on
the road. You take full control of the rev-happy motor with the
four-speed manual transmission (with electric overdrive) and the
control of front disc brakes.
This is the nimble British roadster that is truly a cut-above when
it comes to quality. In fact, you'd expect to pay a ton more (so
you can use those savings to invest in the most modern tires or
other details you may want.) A package this attractive rarely says
here long, so hurry up and call today!
