This 1971 Chevy K10 Pickup is a 1 family owned truck (father & son)
and we have the original Warranty Card in the father's name. This
truck spent its life in Montana and Arizona and it is a pretty
original truck that is still in great condition. It is pretty clear
this truck has been well cared for and the son inherited it a few
years ago and did some nice updates to it. The truck has a really
cool/original look and you don't see them like this anymore. The
body on this truck is solid and straight. It was repainted back in
the 90's sometime and the paint still looks great for its age. It
is the original color of Ochre and white which is a great 70's
combination. All of the trim looks to be original and it is still
in great condition. It still has the original mirrors and bumpers
too. The bed of the truck was bedlined in white years ago and it
still looks nice. The underside is clean and solid and we did find
2 small patches on each side of the inner rockers, but the rockers
are all solid and the rest of the undercarriage is solid and
untouched.
The interior is really nice. The son went through and replaced the
floor mat, recovered the seat, put in new steering wheel, and
installed a new dash bezel and dash pad. He also added a Custom
Autosound Radio. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn
signals are all working. The heat works and the windshield wipers
work. the horn is not working probably because of the new steering
wheel. A Really nice original style interior.
The son spent a lot of money on the mechanics of this truck to make
it a reliable driving truck. He actually drove it to work 2-3 times
a week 100 miles round trip and the mechanics are excellent. The
engine is the 5.7L 350 V8 that he had rebuilt. He was unsure how
many miles are currently on the rebuild, but it was done a few
years ago when he acquired the truck. It starts easy and runs
strong with no issues or red flags that we found. They added an
Aluminum Intake, Edelbrock Carb, new alternator, and Crane Fireball
ignition. The transmission is the Turbo 350 that shifts great and
it is mated to the np205 transfer case. The 4WD works like it
should. It has a 12 Bolt rear axle with 3.08 gears and a Dana 44
front axle with 3.08 gears. This truck does have power steering and
power disc brakes. Other nice additions by the son is a Painless
wiring harness and 2 extra gas tanks. The tanks still need to be
cleaned and tested. This is all sitting on a cool set of factory
wheels and hubcaps with a nice set of All Terrain tires.
