Vehicle Description
"A word or two to the competition: You lose. Camaro beats all other
sporty cars in 1969 Car and Drivers Readers Choice. Camaro did it.
Beat the toughest competition the other cars could muster. Every
year Car and Driver asks its readers to rate cars. There's no
tougher panel of judges than these real enthusiasts." -Chevrolet Ad

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Convertible is featured in its
original factory colors of Daytona Yellow exterior with black vinyl
interior and a black vinyl top is one of the quintessential Muscle
Cars of the era. Now featuring a ZZ4 crate motor producing 360
horsepower and 405 ft-lbs. of torque, this Camaro has the power to
match its good looks.
This Camaro RS/SS was originally equipped with a 350 cubic inch
motor mated to a TH350 automatic transmission. Under current
ownership the motor and transmission were replaced with the above
mentioned ZZ4 motor and was mated to a period correct Muncie
4-speed manual transmission. The work that was performed for the
transformation was carried out to accurately represent a factory
manufactured car.
At just over 7K miles a warrantee motor was installed in the car by
a Chevrolet dealer and notated in the owners-manual. When the ZZ4
motor was installed in the car the original Holley gas return line
to the tank and the RS headlight washers were retained to prove
that the car is a genuine RS/SS.
Painted approximately 20 years ago this Camaro Convertible shows
very well with only minimal wear. The car is believed to still have
all the factory panels in place with no signs of body or underside
corrosion. Inspect the interior and you will find the standard
black vinyl upholstered seating with center console and Muncie
shifter. Upon further inspection you will notice a Z-28 tachometer
installed due to the additional power of the ZZ4 powerplant.
This Camaro has also been upgraded with 15" rims and an incredible
sounding Borla Stainless Steel exhaust with a crossover pipe.
This well sorted and fantastic running 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS
Convertible is the prize of anyone's garage, make it yours while
the opportunity is here.
