1976 Ford F100 Ranger, Short Bed (LWB cut down to SWB), 302 V8, C4
Automatic, 9' Rearend This truck was going to be a long-term
project of mine. This truck is extremely clean and 95% rust free,
this is the reason I chose it to the begin with. It started as a
LWB and I cut it down to a SWB, everything lined back up using all
of the factory hardware perfectly. I have it all back together
except the driveshaft and plan to get a new one made in the next
day or two, I had not been in a hurry as the factory drivetrain was
not part of my plan. I also have a complete with hardware Crown Vic
front chassis, and standard bore 1993 351W, and a AOD trans, and
Explorer 8.8 rearend with Limited slip. It was my plan to install
these parts as the driveline. The 302 in the truck starts right up
and runs good, the C4 trans is hit or miss, sometimes its fine
others it will pop out of gear. I drove this truck quite a bit
before starting the disassembly. I will continue to work on the
truck, but the price will just go up. I have the bedside chrome, I
just haven't cut it down yet. This truck had AC on it and most of
the system is still there, just needs a condenser. It has power
steering and Power brakes. These Trucks both the Dentsides and the
Bumpsides have just gotten crazy in popularity and the prices are
