Vehicle Description
The full blackout style of this 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Restomod
gets you ready for a mean power pony, and the fuel-injected
5.0-liter V8 makes sure this doesn't disappoint. But more than just
muscle, you also get a ton of upgrades like a five-speed stick, a
sports suspension, and a loaded custom A/C interior. So this is
exactly how to get the best of everything in one iconic
package.
Black is a color with a timeless appeal, and this is an upgrade
later in life that certainly gave this car an instant upgrade in
attitude. And while it has a mean-as-midnight kind of look, you're
really going to want to take this one out in the noon sunshine to
see the full luster. We're told the paint was part of a restoration
that was completed around 2012, and it has gone about 10k miles
since then. So it's still sleek, clean, and only shows minimal
signs of responsible enjoyment. So there's a sleekness to the
finish that is hard to find elsewhere. And the slippery style is
enhanced by the sporty mirrors, deleted badging, and flush-mounted
Kindig-It door handles. There are nice Shelby-style elements with
the hood scoop, billet grille, and integrated rear spoiler. You get
the full impression that they really thought about the details on
this one. That's why the special Foose wheels add to the mean
blackout style, and the 17/18-inch front/rear stance announces this
is a powerful restomod.
The premium full blackout style continues inside. This was built to
be the right mix of added performance and comfort. The front seats
are upgraded to modern high-back buckets with terrific bolstering,
power adjustment, and are finished in supple leather. The silver
accent on the seatback is an especially tasteful touch. It kicks
off a silver streak that continues on the custom door panels,
center console, dash, and even the trunk for a top-quality uniform
style. There are comfort features like cold-blowing R-134a air
conditioning, power windows, cup holders, and a Sony AM/FM/CD
stereo with Bluetooth. But as much as those features are great for
everyone, the best treats are reserved just for you. There's a
three-spoke sports steering wheel on a tilt column, and the
white-faced gauge package has a nice backlit glow. And have you
counted the gears on the Hurst shifter yet?
The engine bay shows off a Mustang legend from a much younger era.
This is a 5.0-liter V8 borrowed from a 1991 Mustang. It's great to
have this upgrade to fuel injection and a more significant
displacement than what was available in 1965. This is even said to
have been rebuilt during the full restoration. And as you look
through the engine bay, you'll notice nice components everywhere
from the aluminum radiator to the shorty headers. The V8 fires up
readily like a good FI machine should, and the H-pipe dual exhaust
has a terrific tune that's always great on a drive. The upgrade to
a Tremec five-speed manual transmission means firm control over
this modern and powerful V8. The undercarriage photos show
investments in upgrading the driving experience. It includes a
Total Control power steering rack, power front disc brakes,
Hotchkis sway bars, and a limited-slip 9-inch rear with 3.73 gears.
It makes this custom fastback a solid all-around driver.
This is the custom classic that has stunning looks, a comfy
interior, fuel-injected V8 power, and an overall solid feeling on
the road. So if you're looking for a Mustang that loves to be shown
and enjoyed, you can't miss this fastback. Call today!!!
