you are looking for a great car with outstanding performance at a
reasonable price? If that is the case, then this car might be the
one you are looking for. As the prices on Fox Body Mustangs
continue to climb at a steep rate, the previous generation of
Mustangs to the SN95 pictured here, collectors are looking to this
generation of Mustang produced from 1994-1999 as a great
investment. Several sources are citing SN95 Mustangs as having
great potential to see an increase in value over the upcoming
years. However, more important than the collectability of this
vehicle is its potential to put a smile on your face while driving
it. We at Garage Kept Motors have a saying, As the top goes down,
the fun goes up, so needless to say, with a convertible top, paired
with a high-performance American V8 and 5-speed manual transmission
cars just do not come any more fun to drive then this Pony Car.
Also, at a price of under $20K, it is a very reasonable investment
in fun as well! Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT) tweaked the
standard Mustang's performance to exceed that of the GT models and
garnered it with the famed Cobra nameplate to honor their
performance accomplishment. 1998 was the first year for the Canary
Yellow hue that covers this Mustang. The finish presents as
original and has a few minor chips and blemishes as expected from a
25-year-old vehicle, however, the paint has been well-maintained
and shines with a deep luster. This Cobra features unique body
treatments over the standard and GT Mustangs. This car includes a
unique front fascia with round fog lights and the rear fascia
embossed with the Cobra moniker. Other Cobra-specific features
include Chrome Cobra badges on the front fenders and SVT call-out
emblems on the trunk lid, and a unique spoiler on the decklid. This
car features a black convertible power top that is a very stunning
exterior combination that is sure to turn heads. The canvas top is
in good condition with little if any wear and features a glass rear
window with the rear defroster. Only 3480 convertibles were
produced in 1998, the 3rd year the convertible top was offered
since 1970 on the Mustang. The black interior features leather
upholstery. The front seats show some light wear with some slight
wrinkles, but the material remains soft and pliable and is quite
comfortable and free of any rips or seam tears. The carpet has been
well maintained and is clean with some very light sun fade. Options
that are Cobra-only include the 160-mph speedometer, white-faced
full instrumentation/gauges with black lettering, leather-wrapped
shift knob, boot, and parking brake boot. The steering wheel is
also leather-wrapped with thumb controls for the cruise control and
tilt wheel adjustment. Other options include power windows and
locks, air conditioning, Factory AM/FM/Cassette tape/ and CD player
with front and rear multi-speaker arrangement. The rear trunk
compartment is clean, and the factory trunk liner is still present
and in very good condition with the spare tire, jack, and related
tools all present. Under the hood sits what has become known as the
Romeo Engine. This twin camshaft, multi-valve, and all-aluminum
block V8 was cast by Italian firm, Teksid who built engines for
championship-winning Formula 1 teams, and was hand built by two
Ford Techs at the Romeo Michigan engine plant. The 4.6 V8 replaced
the 5.0 in 1996 and this aluminum modular V8 that produced 300
lb.-ft of torque, and 305 hp. The engine compartment is clean and
in original condition with all the factory decals and markings
still present. The engine breathes through a factory dual exhaust
system. Underneath, the chassis features power steering with rack
and pinion, four-wheel power-assisted disc brakes, and front-rear
