The Triumph TR6 was a very successful roadster - it is regarded by
most to be the best TR series. During its 8-year model run
(1968-1976) over 94,000 Triumph TR6s were built and exported around
the world. This 1975 TR6 has had a full restoration and the Owner
has provided a complete binder of documentation on the car. A
'Certified Copy of the Factory Record' from BMIHT, Great Britain is
also furnished. The professional respray of British Racing Green is
in fair condition and new stainless bumpers are a nice accent. The
tan leather interior has been restored to near original condition
and features include a new classic walnut veneer dash w/full
instrumentation, new dash pad and vintage Blaupunkt AM/FM sound
system. The newly installed convertible top is also excellent and a
tan tonneau is provided.
The TR6 is powered by Triumph's 2.5-liter/104bhp OHV straight-6
that sits in a spotless engine compartment. US versions were
delivered with dual Zenith Stromberg '175' carburetors. The Owner
states that it is the original matching numbers engine and has
never required a rebuild (140-146 psi in all cylinders). A new
upgraded distributor and Pertronix ignition system has been
installed along with a new alternator and fuel pump. The stainless
exhaust system provides a wonderful Triumph growl. The powerplant
is backed by a fully-synchronized 4-speed overdrive manual gearbox
w/new clutch. Traditional body-on-frame construction features
rack-and-pinion steering and semi-trailing arm independent rear
suspension. Factory steel wheels (w/trim rings/centers) sport new
15" Vredestein performance radials. Brakes are front disc/rear drum
and most suspension/brake components have been replaced. Much, much
more has been done to this Triumph and has been documented in the
Owner's binder. This British icon is waiting to meet its new owner.
That will not take long - it is a classic TR6. ALL VEHICLES SOLD
"AS IS".
