Vehicle Description
1932 Ford Pickup "DEUCE" - Unrestored Original Owned 60+ years-
Next Adventure?
Owned currently by the same family for over sixty years, she has a
correct, current Michigan Title and valid Registration with
Authentic 1932 License Plates. Her last long "road trip" was in
1972 with her current owner... the drive of over 250 miles
traveling from Southern to Northern Michigan!
The seller says 'she is just an old farm truck'. An experienced
restorer or street rod builder will call this a once in a lifetime
find. While this all original, unrestored 1932 Ford Pickup spent
most of its life working a farm and has the scars to prove it, she
was kept in a dry barn every day and shows very few spots of
corrosion damage. Many of the sheet metal panels show multiple
bumps and bruises but are solid and restorable. The motor is free
and fired but in need of a carb rebuild to run properly The
driveline is all original and the trans recently rebuilt. The
classic 1932 Ford frame shows no signs of corrosion damage
requiring only blasting and paint. The bed and tailgate are solid
with a few bumps and twists. The grill needs a center tooth while
the headlights are in great condition needing only to be polished.
The dash and gauges appear untouched and the steering wheel shows
no cracks. Even the door windows roll smoothly. Best of all and as
far as we can tell, there are very few missing parts. This truck is
unlike any other 91 year old Ford farm truck you have seen; and
it's a "Deuce". It can be easily restored or rodded or just driven
as is with a fraction of the work required by any similar
project.
If you do your own work or have someone familiar with hammering
early Ford sheet metal you will recognize the value of the solid
sheet metal presented here. Areas of concern are both door bottoms
and lower hinges. These are the two worst areas of the truck. Both
patch panels and new complete doors are commercially available. The
next area of concern is the lower cab corners for which patch
panels are available. Finally the lower front bed wall and two of
the bed uprights are rusted but are simple shapes that can be
reproduced.
Due to its condition, this 1932 Ford Pickup is an outstanding value
for the builder and restoration enthusiast who has some experience.
It is not an overwhelming project as are most otherold farm trucks.
