Vehicle Description
1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible
The Mercury Cougar was first introduced in 1967 and shared a
platform with the Mustang. Well GM did the same with the Pontiac
Firebird which was introduced 1967 as well to join the pony car
ranks and compete along side the Camaro. The name came from the
General Motors Firebird which was a very space age inspired group
of prototypes released in the 50's. With its pointed nose, dual
grill openings and slotted tail lights the design was incredibly
unique and makes the vintage Firebirds very recognizable. This very
nice 1967 Firebird Convertible is a unique car in that it has
belonged to a since family since being purchased new. It definitely
falls in that survivor category because outside of regular
maintenance it has been kept completely original. There are 48,200
miles on the odometer which is original. It has nice Gold paint
paired with a Black convertible cloth top. In exchange of the
standard front bumper these cars adopted a very cool fully chromed
front nose with looks great. All of the original stainless trim is
nicely mounted in place and it's all there. The headlights, turn
signals, and brake lights all work properly. The car sits on its
original wheels with the correct PMD hubcaps wrapped with Road
Hugger Radial G/T tires.
Pop the hood and you will see its original 326 c.i. V8 motor
sitting in place. Every thing in the engine compartment is how it
was from the factory. The motor is fitted with a 2 barrel
carburetor topped off with the single snorkel air cleaner. The
automatic transmission shifts smoothly with no issues and sends
power back to the original rear end. The suspension/brakes are all
the stock set up and it was ordered with factory power steering.
The car starts up and runs well with no smoking or problems.

It features all of its original stock components throughout and all
the gauges work correctly. The trunk is all solid with a solid pan.

This very cool Firebird has a lot going for it especially
considering it was 1 family owned. That means we know where the car
has been its whole life. With its low mileage and originality this
survivor checks a lot of boxes and would be a great classic
